What are the Wall Art Sticker Decals made of?
All BFGraphics Wall Art Stickers are made from Vinyl. This is a thin, adhesive backed material that is flexible and easily adheres to a wide range of surfaces. Our Stickers can be produced in either Gloss or Matte vinyl in a range of colours and effects.
How are the Wall Art Stickers made?
Once we have agreed your design we use a special programme to make it cut-ready and send it from the computer to the cutting machine to be precision-cut from the sheet of vinyl using a tiny little blade. The excess vinyl is then removed (weeded) by hand, leaving just your design attached to the backing paper. Your design is then masked with transfer paper and packaged ready for shipping out to you.
How do I apply my sticker to the wall?
Your Wall Sticker comes ready to apply, with full application instructions. There will be 3 layers, 1: the backing layer, 2: the vinyl artwork in the middle and 3: the transfer tape on the top. Depending on the size or number of colours in your design, it may come in more than one section that will each need to be applied separately. Our easy to follow instructions will ensure you apply your design easily (you may wish to ask someone for help to apply some of our larger designs)
Are the Wall Art Stickers removable and reusable?
The vinyl is easily removable making them a great option for decorating even when renting, however they are not reusable. But hey, that gives you the perfect excuse to pick another design!
How long will the Wall Art Stickers last once applied?
Our Vinyl Wall Art Stickers are made from a high quality vinyl with an outdoor life expectancy of between 3 and 5 years. With indoor applications the vinyl is not exposed to extreme weather or dramatic temperature changes and so should last as long as you want it to!
Can I store my Wall Art Sticker until I am ready to apply it?
Each Wall Art Sticker is made to order and so may be stored for up to six months, however for best results, it is recommended that you apply your design within a few days of receipt. If you decide not to apply right away please ensure you store your Sticker in a clean, dry area at room temperature either rolled as delivered or lying flat - Do not fold or bend your sticker!
Will my Wall Art Sticker adhere to any surface?
Vinyl will stick to almost any non-porous smooth surface such as painted walls, windows, mirrors, tile, metal and sealed wood. It can stick to lightly textured walls (the texture will show on the design), but it will not stick to medium to heavy textures, rough or uneven surfaces such as clock, brick, unfinished wood or any other porous or bumpy surface. Please ensure newly painted walls are left to cure for at least 4 weeks prior to applying your Wall Art Sticker (even with "fast drying" paint). If in any doubt we recommend that you test a sample on the area prior to ordering.
Are Wall Art Stickers suitable for use in Bathrooms or other high moisture areas?
Yes - just ensure the surface is clean and dry before application. Once applied water and humidity will not damage your Wall Art Sticker
Do I need to do any preparation prior to applying my Wall Art Sticker?
All surfaces must be clean and dry prior to application. Any dirt, dust or grime (Including cigarette smoke) can make application difficult and cause your design to peel away from the surface. Always make sure the surface is clean and dry before application. Always make sure that all parts of the design are attached to the transfer tape when removing from the backing paper. Always make sure you rub the design firmly on to the surface before carefully peeling back the transfer tape revealing your lovely new decal. If you find that parts of your design start peeling away over time, try warming the area slightly with a hairdryer on a low setting and pressing the design down with your fingers.
How do I remove my Wall Art Sticker?
Our vinyl has a low-tack adhesive, making it easily removable with little or no residue left behind. Simply lift the corner of each piece with your fingernail or pair of tweezers and pull back gently at a slight angle. You may find it easier if you apply a little heat with a hair dryer first.
Returns?
All of our Wall Art Stickers are made to order especially for you and as such we do not accept returns. Please give careful consideration to your design, colour and size choices before placing your order.
Once your package is ready for shipment it will be sent to the address requested via My Hermes. BF Graphics is not liable for damage caused in transit or for any packaged that may be lost or stolen in transit. Any such instances must be handled directly with My Hermes. By placing an order with BF Graphics you are agreeing to these terms.
